Responsibilities
as our English Teacher will include:
1. Contributing to high quality learning experiences using a variety of teaching and learning methods.
2. Ensuring that teaching is based on current best available practice and is consistent with a high standard of practice.
3. Providing academic support to students in accordance with agreed procedures.
4. Creating an outstanding student experience which leads to the successful completion of a GCSE and Functional Skills qualification.
5. Managing student issues within agreed protocols.
6. Undertaking such other reasonable duties as the line manager may require from time to time and review this Job Description annually with the line manager.
7. Participating in the Colleges appraisal process and to undertake any training that may be appropriate
8. Taking appropriate responsibility to ensure the health and safety of self and others
9. Pursuing the achievement and integration of equal opportunities throughout all The Colleges activities
As our Instructor in English Teacher, youll ideally have:
10. Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths Teaching Qualification.
11. A relevant L3 or higher English Qualification.
12. A teaching qualification (or willingness to achieve one within 2 years).
13. Experience of facilitating GCSE English learning for students in a Further Education or an appropriate educational setting.
14. Knowledge of the content of GCSE English Language.
15. Excellent organisational skills.
