William Hare Limited are looking for an Apprentice Fabricator Welder to complete a Level 3 Metal Fabricator apprenticeship and join their team.
A fabricator will produce work made from thick metal plates and structural steel sections, such as columns and beams, using a wide range of tools and equipment. This will contribute to projects for large-scale buildings such as the Nuclear Power plant at Hinckley Point C - which is currently the largest construction site in Europe.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Read and interpret engineering drawings
* Assemble components by welding them together
* Ensure finished welds are of a good standard and the required size
* Use a variety of tools, welding equipment and overhead travelling cranes
* Implement and adhere to all health and safety policies and complete all paperwork relating to health and safety
Skills Required:

Things to Consider:
During the first year, you will be required to attend the University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre in Sheffield, full time for an initial block of study. You will return to your workplace one Friday per month. After the initial block training, you will attend the AMRC Training Centre for one day a week to undertake the knowledge study. The remaining four days will be spent in company learning on the job.

Applicants are also required to successfully complete a series of assessments at the University of Sheffield’s AMRC Training Centre, as well as an employer recruitment and selection process to secure a place on an apprenticeship programme.
