Quality Manager - Engineering Coventry based Full time - 40 hours Upto £37,500 basic overtime benefits The Opportunity We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Manager to lead our quality team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the precision and quality of parts produced through our CNC processes, supervising and instructing the quality supervisor and inspectors. Key Responsibilities of a quality manager • Supervise and manage the inspection of machined parts produced by CNC equipment using various measurement tools and techniques • Check specifications against technical drawings produced and work with production teams to rectify any discrepancies • Be first point of call for all quality escalations • Conduct in-process inspections during production runs and report KPI’s back to board • Supervise the use of precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and Keyence measuring machines • Document inspection results and maintain detailed quality control records • Create and maintain details KPI reporting • Collaborate with department heads and board directors during meetings • Liaise with and/or meet clients to discuss processes, improvement and assurance compliance when required • Perform regular 1-2-1 training with staff • Train new staff on quality practices, requirements, and protocols • Perform regular appraisals with quality staff Qualifications & Experience of a quality manager Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably as a manager or at least a supervisory level Come from an precision engineering or manufacturing background Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings Experience with various measurement tools and inspection equipment, including CMM Proficiency in MS Office and quality management software Proven experience managing a team successfully within a quality environment Personal Attributes of a quality manager • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain high accuracy in repetitive tasks • Excellent communication skills at all levels • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Team player with the ability to work independently when required • Adaptable and eager to learn new skills and technologies • Commitment to health and safety practices • Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation Working Conditions • Full-time position, 40.00 hours per week with potential for overtime • Manufacturing environment with exposure to various production processes Benefits of a Quality Manager Competitive salary range: £16.00 - £18.00 p.h – upto £37500 basic salary Overtime available at premium rates Company medical insurance after successful completion of a 3-month probation period Opportunities for professional development Collaborative work environment Pension enrolment Career progression If you feel you match the roles of quality inspector, and Coventry is suitable work location, apply today
