We are looking for a Principal Systems Business Analyst (Curriculum Management) to join us on a Full-time, Fixed-term basis for 18 months, working 37 hours per week.
THE ROLE
This role will form part of a cross-department project team supporting the implementation of a new curriculum management system for the university, and will be based in our Information Systems team. The aim will be to create a ‘single source of truth’ for Curriculum data, and to ensure data flows out to the student record system, the website, and other related IT systems in a coherent manner, with a focus on automating processes and linking data end to end.

REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for this role, you will need:
1. Good general level of education.
2. Experience of Business Analysis in a medium to large complex environment.
3. Evidence of stakeholder engagement to capture requirements.
4. Experience of producing requirement and design specifications to deliver to a development team and responding to queries through the development stage.
5. Experience of seeing software development through to testing and sign off.
6. Demonstrate experience of software development lifecycles.
7. Working knowledge of SQL and databases sufficient to interrogate databases.
8. Experience in providing high quality software systems support.
9. Demonstrate self-motivation and ability to work unsupervised.
10. Demonstrate respect for a diverse range of people and recognize the importance of building sound relationships.
11. Able to work as part of a team and in partnership with others.
12. Recognize the need for and demonstrate appropriate confidentiality with specific reference to GDPR.
13. Have a positive approach to personal learning and development.
14. Able and prepared to work flexibly including travel between campuses and locations when required.
