About the role
You will report into the Digital Analytics Manager in the Boots Digital team. You will be at the forefront of developing and leading digital data requirements for the Opticians business. You will support this by analysing digital analytics and other data sources to provide insight and recommendations to the Boots Opticians team, to lead better experiences for customers and commercial growth.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
* Collaborate with Boots Opticians Data team to understand overall performance, developing an understanding of the business and regulations that must be complied with.
* Build automated solutions for insight and regular reporting that go beyond descriptive analytics, providing diagnostic and predictive insight.
* Ad hoc analysis drawing insights, conclusions and recommendations.
* Attend regular meetings to present insights.
* Monitor and share insights about competitor performance.
* Ensure the right tracking is in place for digital marketing campaigns and channel measurement, including the creation of UTM parameters and QR codes.
* Lead the capture of new tagging requirements and communicate them with our development team for delivery.
* Collaborate with agency on improving digital performance development.
* Keep up to date with internal & external digital analytical advancements.
* Inform and support the longer-term Opticians digital roadmap.
What you'll need to have:
* A record of providing valuable insight for teams across customer acquisition, behaviour, and conversion rate analysis which proved to guide positive change and growth.
* Work with partners to build and identify patterns, trends, and opportunities in digital data.
* Experience with quantitative digital analytics, such as GA4 or Adobe Analytics, working with the data across different reporting surfaces: UI, raw data analysis with SQL, Python, R.
* Visualise data and insights in compelling and relevant ways with visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) and through presentations.
* Be curious, a problem solver, and eager to develop skills.
* To communicate effectively across varying levels of data literacy and seniority.
* Master's degree or equivalent experience in STEM field translating to proven skills in statistical analysis, data manipulation, visualisation, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
It would be great if you also have:
* Experience working for a retailer, Optical would be ideal.
* Experience specifically with Contentsquare, Quantum Metric, and GA4.
* Experience with Databricks and Power BI.
* Experience with Agile or Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFe).
* Experience with Digital Experience Platform analytics tools.
* Experience with marketing platforms e.g. Google Ads, Google Search Console.
