Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and committed Food Technology Teacher or Cover Supervisor to join our vibrant team. This full-time role will involve delivering engaging lessons in Food Technology, while also providing cover across various subjects as required. The successful candidate will work closely with SEN students, ensuring they receive tailored support in both practical and academic learning.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Delivering Food Technology lessons to SEN students, ensuring that the content is accessible and engaging for all learning abilities.
2. Planning and preparing lesson materials that are suitable for individual learning needs.
3. Supporting students with special educational needs, including providing 1:1 assistance when required.
4. Supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher and ensuring that students remain engaged and on task.
5. Implementing strategies to support students' social, emotional, and academic development.
6. Collaborating with colleagues to adapt teaching approaches and resources to meet individual learning styles.
What We're Looking For:
1. A passion for teaching and supporting students with SEN.
2. Experience in teaching Food Technology (or a related subject) is preferred, but not essential.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Patience, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
5. The ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.
6. A relevant teaching qualification or experience in a similar role is desirable.
