We effectively provide a Sixth Form for the whole of Exeter as well as drawing in students from across the region due to our reputation for excellence. As Curriculum Area Manager, you’ll lead an exceptionally positive and collaborative team with a passion for teaching and learning, and a strong commitment to sharing ideas and resources. As a teacher within the maths team, your delivery is likely to focus on A level, possibly with smaller amounts of either IB delivery and/or core maths. Note that the GCSE maths resit programme at the college sits within another department.
As part of the CAM role you’ll contribute to the Faculty Management Group alongside other science CAMs, a Tutorial Area Manager, the Deputy Head of Faculty and Head of Faculty. We’re responsible for the operational and strategic direction of the faculty, working with the wider support of a large and Outstanding college. The Faculty of Maths and Science mainly deliver A Level courses, alongside BTEC Applied Science (level 3), Access to HE Diploma, IB and a small GCSE offer. We’ve had sustained growth with excellent outcomes and Value-Added over many years. We listen to our learners, and we have very positive learner feedback.
The role is for the start of the new academic year, 20th August 2025.
