We have exclusively registered an Assistant Accountant position for a well established Manufacturing business in East Lancashire. This business is financially stable with projected growth, has multiple sites, operates internationally and has a really friendly finance team.
The Job
Working in a team of 11, reporting to the Finance Manager, you role will be to support the Finance Manager produce the monthly accounts and yearly accounts working to deadlines, whilst also working closely with production to enhance their understanding of the site finances to drive margins and profitability. Typical duties leading up to month end will involve calculating accruals, pre-payments, journal entries etc which will be followed by a full Profit and Loss analysis and review with the operational manager. This involving investigating costs, discrepancies, variances etc and interpreting to production to enable the appropriate action to be taken.
You will also be able to support with other area's of interest if desired such as audit prep, tax packs, budgeting, intercompany etc.
The Requirements
This position will only suit a candidate working in finance within a manufacturing environment as it is essential you have an understanding of accounting for stock, WIP, BOM's and generally how a manufacturing business operates.
You must also have a strong suppouting role in a finance team currently, and have an AAT qualification or equivalent such as degree qualified.

This position comes with full CIMA or ACCA study support, all exams and materials paid for and 2 days additional leave per exam. Benefits are enhanced, hours are unique with early finishes and minimum late night working and salary will be circa £35,000 but negotiable all dependant on experience.
