Fleet Management is a key support service for many internal and external customers at Coventry City Council. We are based in a fully equipped vehicle workshop at our Whitley Depot site and are responsible for the repair and maintenance of approximately 500 items including vehicles and plant machinery and equipment. We are also responsible for the provision of fuel to our customers, and in addition provide a driver training service to many customers.

What is the job role?
In this role, you will undertake MOTs, taxi tests, service, inspection, repair, and maintenance of various vehicles. The work ensures adherence to DVSA standards, taxi licensing policies and health and safety requirements.
Working Hours: Mon - Thurs: 6.30 am - 3.00 pm. Fri 06.30 am - 11.30 am.
Who are we looking for?
In addition to your vehicle repair and maintenance and MOT tester qualification, you will have extensive practical experience in fleet service, repair and maintenance of vehicles. You will know the legislative requirements of legally maintaining class 4, 5 and 7 vehicles. You will have a flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to a changing working environment to meet customer needs.
