Job Title: Multi-Trader (Reactive Maintenance)
Location: South London
Contract: Full-Time (40 hours)
Key Requirements:
* Enhanced DBS certificate issued within the last 6 months.
* Own van and full set of tools suitable for various trades.
* Proven experience in reactive maintenance, particularly in the social housing sector.
* Valid UK driving license.
Responsibilities:
* Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests in social housing properties.
* Perform a variety of repairs and maintenance tasks, including:
* Carpentry (door repairs, locks, and furniture fixes)
* Plumbing (leaks, blockages, and basic installations)
* Tiling (repairs and replacements)
* Painting and decorating
* General handyman tasks
* Ensure tenants’ safety and satisfaction while working in occupied properties.
* Diagnose issues on-site and carry out repairs efficiently to minimize repeat visits.
* Maintain professional and courteous communication with tenants and housing managers.
* Provide reports on completed tasks, including photos and descriptions, via a handheld system or paperwork.
Skills and Experience:
* Minimum 2 years of experience in reactive maintenance or multi-trade work.
* Comprehensive understanding of social housing requirements and tenant sensitivities.
* Knowledge of building regulations and health & safety practices.
* Ability to troubleshoot and prioritize multiple tasks in a busy, reactive environment.
* Strong attention to detail and high standards of workmanship.
