SEN Teaching Assistant job summary
Vale of Evesham School is an ambitious and popular 4-19 special school with a fantastic reputation locally, judged Good by Ofsted in 2023. The school has the highest aspirations for its students. The needs of many pupils require high staffing ratios, and the highly trained and devoted staff focus on recognizing and responding to their individual needs while providing a relevant and challenging curriculum.
We are looking for inspirational and outstanding teaching assistants committed to improving outcomes for young children with significant learning needs. Applicants must be unrelentingly positive in the face of adversity, possess high levels of energy and enthusiasm, and be able to work in an ever-changing environment. We welcome applications from both full-time and part-time staff.
The successful candidates will:
* Have good numeracy and literacy skills
* Have knowledge of child development
* Understand the varied needs of children as they develop socially and academically
* Have evidence of understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality
* Be flexible to the needs of the children
* Be able to use ICT to store and retrieve data
* Have a willingness to learn and embrace new ideas
Hours of work:
Monday 8.45am - 4.30pm
Tuesday 8.45am - 3.30pm
Wednesday 8.45am - 3.45pm
Thursday 8.45am - 3.30pm
Friday 8.45am - 3.15pm
