We arelooking for a Technical Sales Specialist within our Chromatography and MassSpectrometry Division to help our customers make that transformation. The right candidate forthis position is someone who enjoys helping customers understand how our digital technologiesand scientific software can help them do their important work like develop and make vaccines,find cures for cancer, protect the environment, or make sure our food is safe.What will you do• Drive commercial sales of Software within an assigned geographical salesterritory focused mostly on the UK and Ireland but potentially including other countries across EMEA• Understand customer's workflows and processes, digital requirements and business andtechnology strategy.• Establish relationships with senior decision makers and generate excitement around ThermoFisher Scientific Enterprise Software Solutions for analytical technologies such asChromatography and Mass Spectrometry in QC and R&D across multiple industries.• Partner with our account managers, industry specialists and software services teams tohelp drive a software sales lifecycle from initial trigger through to customer success.Education• Bachelor's degree or higher in a Scientific or Information Technology field, or meaningfulexperience.Experience• Experience in selling scientific software and/or capital equipment into markets such asPharma, Life Sciences, Mining, Chemical, Oil and Gas, Environmental Food & Beverage orGovernment Agencies.• Some experience within commercial laboratory environments and of working withscientific software, especially for chromatography, mass spectrometry or other analyticaltechnology.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities• Confident communicator, able to present to our innovative software solutions that drivegreater efficiencies• Knowledge of analytical technologies such as gas and liquid chromatography and massspectrometry.• Curious about modern IT trends such as cloud infrastructure and passionate about howdigital technologies can help solve problems.• Some business and commercial competence, able to understand our customer's scientificand business issues and translate these into commercial proposals for enterprisesoftware.• Able to travel 50% or greater of working time over any 1-year period.What's in it for you:• Excellent career progression opportunities with a large and growing global employer• Competitive salary, plus bonus• Benefits package• Field-based role, with regular home working and opportunities for travel• Development opportunities (continuous development programs, TFS University,commercial sales training)
