We are looking for an experienced secretary with outstanding audio typing skills who is looking to take the next step in their career to become a Personal Assistant to support one of our Family Partners in our busy and growing Family Department.

Please note this position is office-based at our Head Office in Gadbrook Park, Northwich, Cheshire.

Nature & Scope:
* Provide administrative support to a Family Partner and her dedicated team to enable them to deal with clients efficiently and effectively.
* Deliver a high level of customer service to clients. Project a professional image to visitors and telephone callers at all times.
* Strong audio typing skills to assist with audio dictation to transcribe material set by the lawyers accurately and efficiently.
* Manage a variety of tasks, ensuring the smooth handling of sensitive family matters.

Key Accountabilities:
Administration / Secretarial Work:
* Provide general administrative support to colleagues as directed by line manager.
* Prepare correspondence and documents as directed by line manager by audio typing and copy work.
* Organise post and ensure it is ready for dispatch at the end of each day.
* Manage electronic diaries of fee earners as directed.
* Handle confidential information according to the firm’s policies.
Handling inbound telephone calls:
* Ensure calls are answered promptly and professionally.
* Deal with enquiries effectively in the absence of the fee earner.
* Take accurate messages and direct callers appropriately.
Greeting Visitors:
* Greet visitors efficiently and professionally.
* Prepare meeting rooms prior to visits and tidy them afterwards.
Collaborative working:
* Maintain good working relationships with colleagues.
* Provide cover for reception and other administrative functions as needed.
Safety Awareness:
* Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness.
* Report any potential safety hazards to line manager.
