2. Review tender documents to ensure all relevant details are included in quotes and contracts, and standardize sales quotes to maintain consistency and accuracy across all projects.
3. Calculate net costs for materials, labour, freight, and installation of our balcony and balustrade systems, collaborating with our pricing teams at other European offices to deliver accurate and competitive quotes.
4. Manage value engineering requests and repricing during the tender phase to meet customer requirements and project needs.
5. Ensure that all design work is completed and, where possible, integrated into contracts during the pre-construction phase.
6. Prepare cost analyses and cash flow forecasts to support smooth commercial delivery and negotiate contract clarifications and updates with clients.
7. Oversee and update project cost reports and track cost allocations to support operational activities.
8. Provide commercial insight during the design and production phases to manage cost implications and report deviations from initial cost estimates.
9. Ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions and monitor bulk purchasing strategies for site materials.
10. Lead monthly commercial reviews, providing forecasts on cash flow and financial performance, and manage net reviews for each project.
11. Monitor spending patterns and ensure payment processes and contract completions are carried out on time and in accordance with agreements.
Your Profile
To succeed in this role, you should have experience in a commercial role within the construction, engineering, or related industries, with strong skills in cost estimation, tender management, and contract administration. A solid understanding of UK construction regulations and experience working internationally to ensure coordinated pricing and procurement standards is also essential.
