We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant Site Manager to join a leading nationwide housebuilder. The role is based on an exciting residential development project in Norfolk, involving the construction of high-quality traditional brick and block homes. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Site Manager in overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring smooth progress of construction activities. Supervise sub-contractors and trades, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards. Monitor progress against the project schedule, addressing any potential delays or issues promptly. Conduct regular quality checks on completed works, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards. Enforce health and safety policies on-site, maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel. Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources. Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, progress reports, and quality inspections. Support the Site Manager in client and consultant interactions, attending progress meetings as required. Requirements: Previous experience in a similar role, ideally working on traditional brick and block housing projects. Knowledge of UK building regulations and health and safety legislation. Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving. Relevant construction qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or equivalent). SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain them). Full UK driving license
