A Child Protection/Child in Need Social Worker is required to start within Halton Council’s Children Services

As a Child Protection Social Worker working for Halton:
* Provide investigation and management of a child protection caseload
* Offer a professional response to social problems, family concerns, and mental health issues
* Conduct assessments to ensure the safety and reduce the risk to children in need of protection
* Conducting Court Work/ Court Reports
* Section 47 enquires
* Work collaboratively with other agencies and professionals to support families
* Initiate legal proceedings under the Child and Family Services Act when necessary
* Place children in alternative care when required
* Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders
* Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance professional skills
* Engage with the community to raise awareness about child protection issues
What we are looking for in a Social Worker:
* Social Work England registration
* Eligible to work in the UK
* Hold a full UK licence
* Post-qualified experience
* Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
