Role: Financial Consultant
Location: Remote Working - travel to clients one to two times a month within allocated area
Duration: 12 months minimum
Day rate: Salary - £66,952
Experienced Financial Consultant sought for a regulatory body based in the South West of England and/or London, on an interim basis for a period of twelve months.
You will be experienced in making recommendations where financial management requires improvement and have an excellent auditing background. You will be responsible for aiding the delivery of and advising on significant savings through designing more streamlined and effective services.
Responsibilities:
1. Reviewing of financial/other data and modelling output relating to individual providers
2. Provide expert financial advice in relation to market exit risks at relevant providers
3. Engage with and review the quality of management and governance of providers as it relates to the management of provider financial viability and sustainability
4. Engage appropriately with relevant stakeholders, including government, funders, lenders, auditors, advisors etc, where appropriate
5. Share knowledge and experience with colleagues across the organisation, particularly linking financial investigatory work into other regulatory conditional risk assessments
6. Working across multiple teams, both internal and external
7. Breaking down and interrogating data and questioning the findings
Minimum Requirements:
The ideal candidate for Senior Auditor should ideally have:
1. Stakeholder management
2. The ability to interrogate data
3. Qualified Accountant and financial management (essential)
4. Excellent Auditing experience, preferably in an education setting, or the civil service / regulatory body
5. Senior Management
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills (essential)
7. Relationship management
8. A strong track record of successfully delivering change
9. A record of being able to hit the ground running and make a huge impact
10. Ability to react to external factors to mitigate risk and maintain delivery
11. Ability to think commercially
12. Willingness to hold difficult and challenging conversations
