Programme Manager Future Assets Plan (FAP)
Team: Delivery Unit, Corporate Core
As Programme Manager FAP, you will be required to oversee the delivery of the Council’s estates rationalisation programme and plan, which includes the early stages of the complete refurbishment of the existing Town Hall, execute and deliver projects in accordance with service requirements, deadlines and budgets. The Programme Manager is also responsible for the ongoing promotion of robust Project Management techniques and processes across the organisation in line with the principles led by the Corporate Delivery Unit. You will have extensive experience in project managing and delivering a wide range of complex projects and programmes of work.
The role is part of a matrix management approach where you will report into the Head of Performance and Delivery but be also based within the Business Growth and Infrastructure department and reporting to the Head of Land and Property and leading the FAP project team.
This agile role is based within the Bury town centre campus and is a 12 month fixed term post to cover maternity leave of the current postholder.
We are particularly looking for experience of managing complex programmes within a local authority landscape, experience of estates management, excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills, ability to work through detail and proficiency in clear and concise progress reporting including milestone delivery, key performance indicators and risk management.
Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week. Dependent on service requirements, you may be required to work on a rota basis.
