About the role
As a Partner on our service counters, you'll have the perfect opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge and passion for food while feeling proud of how it is ethically sourced. You will also recommend recipes to customers and actively bring our ethos — passionate Partners serving food lovers — to life.
Using your enthusiasm and friendliness, you'll build lasting relationships with customers, positively impacting their perception of the Waitrose brand, earning their trust and loyalty, and helping to maximize sales and profit.

Key Responsibilities
* Take responsibility for your food counter, ensuring high standards of presentation and hygiene at all times.
* Manage stock levels to ensure popular products are available.
* Handle open food carefully, following all health & safety protocols, and help reduce food wastage.
* Maintain knowledge of new products and understand Waitrose's food values, such as animal welfare.
* Support the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks when required.
Essential skills/experience you'll need
* Effective communication skills to work as part of a team and with customers.
Desirable skills/experience you may have
* Experience in a customer-facing role.
* Experience in catering or hospitality environments.
* Up-to-date knowledge and interest in food and drink trends.
* A flexible approach to support the whole branch.
