Our client, a growing manufacturing company near Hemingford Grey, Cambridgeshire, has seen huge investment in recent years and they're looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join the team. This role offers the perfect balance: 50% reactive breakdowns, 50% planned maintenance and project work. If you're looking for a role where you can make an impact, this could be it!
Salary: £57,000
Shifts: 3 on 2 off, 2 on 3 off, 12-hour days and nights

Your mission as an Engineer
1. Quickly respond to mechanical and electrical breakdowns to minimise downtime and keep production running.
2. Carry out planned preventative maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce unexpected failures.
3. Identify and troubleshoot faults, find root causes, and implement long-term solutions.
4. Work on continuous improvement projects to enhance machine efficiency and reduce downtime.
5. Support the installation of new machinery and upgrades to existing equipment.
6. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations and company standards.
7. Work closely with production teams to understand recurring issues and optimise machine performance.
8. Maintain accurate records of repairs, servicing, and part replacements using the site's maintenance system.
9. Assist in monitoring and managing spare parts inventory to ensure critical components are available.
10. Share knowledge and support training of team members to improve overall maintenance effectiveness.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
1. A minimum of NVQ Level 3 in an electrical qualification or equivalent.
2. Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, working with production machinery.
3. Strong fault-finding skills on electrical and mechanical systems, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
