Learning Support Assistant required to provide 1-2-1 support for a Key Stage 4 student with Social Emotional Mental Health needs. This dynamic alternative provision is currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to provide ongoing support and guidance for a student who has been excluded from mainstream education. The school focuses on giving every child a second chance, helping them to access education, and regulate their behaviours.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working with this student in every lesson, managing their behaviours and helping them to engage in lessons. This role as a Learning Support Assistant requires an individual who is empathetic, patient, resilient and driven to make a difference. You will be working closely with the teachers and other Learning Support Assistants to provide students with the outstanding support that they require. This role is suitable for a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, RSW, or Behaviour Mentor who has previously worked with SEMH.
Job Role:
1. Supporting a Key Stage 4 student on a 1-2-1 basis.
2. Having a good understanding of SEMH and Challenging Behaviours.
3. Working as a Learning Support Assistant / TA.
4. Taking part in whole school activities and making school fun, engaging and nurturing.
5. Breaking down barriers to communication and managing behaviours.
