Main duties of the job
You will play a vital role in supporting the Business/Service Manager to deliver high-quality and sustainable care services. You will ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice, overseeing clinical and non-clinical operations while fostering a collaborative and efficient environment. Your responsibilities will include:
Operational Coordination: Coordinate clinical room usage and manage rotas to ensure proper staffing, addressing and escalating gaps as needed
Team Leadership : Lead the non-clinical team, conduct 1-2-1s, appraisals, and return-to-works, and support training, onboarding, and development
Administrative Support : Work with the Service Manager on initiatives, liaise with HR and Resourcing on staffing needs, and ensure policy and regulatory compliance
Service Quality : Act as a point of contact for operational queries and drive improvements in patient care and service quality.

What Were Looking For
1. Experience in Primary Care : Prior experience working within a primary care setting is essential.
2. Understanding of Primary Care Operations : A thorough knowledge of how primary care services function, including awareness of external factors and their potential impact on the service.
3. Senior Administrative Skills : The ability to handle complex administrative tasks, particularly those related to workforce management, such as rota coordination and HR support.
4. Leadership and Supervision : Proven experience in a team leader or supervisory role, with a track record of effectively managing and supporting staff.
5. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with an ability to prioritize and multitask.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience in team leadership or supervision.
7. Proficiency in using IT systems ,scheduling and administrative software.
8. A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement.

Whitehouse Surgery is a state-of-the-art, purpose-built Health Centre, opento all Milton Keynes residents. We are located along the V4, between the H3and H4, with ample team offer the highest levels of care, as well as tailoring services to suitpatients health and wellbeing needs.Whitehouse Surgery is made up of GPs, Practice Nurses, Health Coaches, Pharmacists, Social Prescribers and Mental Health Workers, with further support from our PCN including First Contact Physiotherapists and Drugs/Alcohol Support in house. Our non-clinician team is made up of our practices Business Manager, Senior Administrator, and Receptionist team, with support from Medical Secretaries and Clinical Coders working in a centralised hub.
