Role Overview
The Indirect Procurement Manager will oversee the sourcing, negotiation, and management of non-core goods and services required to support Lightsource bp’s operations. This includes areas such as facilities management, professional services, IT, marketing, travel, and other indirect categories. The role involves driving cost efficiencies, ensuring supplier compliance, and fostering strong supplier relationships to support organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement:
* Develop and implement procurement strategies for indirect categories to achieve cost savings and operational efficiency.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with business objectives.
* Conduct market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in indirect procurement categories.
* Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality service and product delivery.
* Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure the best terms and ensure compliance with company policies.
* Monitor supplier performance through KPIs and implement improvement initiatives as needed.
Cost Management:
* Manage budgets related to indirect spend and identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Lead cost analysis and benchmarking initiatives to enhance value across categories.
Compliance and Risk Management:
* Ensure procurement activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as company policies.
* Mitigate supply chain risks by implementing robust vendor risk management processes.
Process Optimization:
* Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, leveraging technology and best practices.
* Develop and maintain procurement policies and procedures for indirect spend.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
* Professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is highly desirable.
* Strong level of experience in indirect procurement or a related field.
* Proven track record of cost savings and process improvement initiatives.
* Familiarity with indirect procurement categories such as IT, facilities, marketing, and professional services.
