Job Title: Teaching Assistant (KS2 Class) Location: Accrington Salary: £12.90 - £13.50 Contract Type: Temporary Start Date: January 2025 Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support our Key Stage 2 (KS2) class at our school. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in assisting the class teacher in delivering a high-quality education to students aged 7 to 11 years old. Key Responsibilities: Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and classroom activities. Work with individual students or small groups to support their learning needs. Help students with tasks and assignments, providing additional explanations and guidance as necessary. Assist in the preparation and organization of classroom resources and materials. Help to maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment. Support students with additional needs, including those with learning difficulties or disabilities. Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher. Encourage positive behavior and promote the school's values of respect and responsibility. Assist with classroom displays, tidying up, and maintaining an organized classroom. Contribute to the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) for students where required. Person Specification: Experience working with children in a school setting, ideally within KS2. A passion for supporting children’s learning and development. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with students and staff. Patience, flexibility, and the ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively. A good understanding of the National Curriculum for KS2. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A proactive and enthusiastic approach to supporting classroom activities.
