Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support our Key Stage 2 (KS2) class at our school. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in assisting the class teacher in delivering a high-quality education to students aged 7 to 11 years old. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive and welcoming school environment where you can make a real difference in children's learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and classroom activities.
* Work with individual students or small groups to support their learning needs.
* Help students with tasks and assignments, providing additional explanations and guidance as necessary.
* Assist in the preparation and organization of classroom resources and materials.
* Help to maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
* Support students with additional needs, including those with learning difficulties or disabilities.
* Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
* Encourage positive behavior and promote the school's values of respect and responsibility.
* Assist with classroom displays, tidying up, and maintaining an organized classroom.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) for students where required.
Person Specification:
* Experience working with children in a school setting, ideally within KS2.
* A passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with students and staff.
* Patience, flexibility, and the ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively.
* A good understanding of the National Curriculum for KS2.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* A proactive and enthusiastic approach to supporting classroom activities.
* Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
