About us
Flora Care Solutions are Ofsted Registered children's homes based throughout the North West specialising in therapeutic care. We are looking to recruit an experienced Registered Manager to manage our new home, which will care and support up to 2 young people.
Requirements
* NVQ Level 5 or in leadership and management.
* Driving Licence
* Experience of working with children and young people with challenging behaviours including mental health and emotional and behaviour difficulties.
* At least 2 years Registered Manager experience of working in an Ofsted regulated children's home that carries a rating of good or above.
* Excellent knowledge of current legislations including The Children’s Homes England Regulations 2015, Quality Standards 2015, and the Children’s Act 1989.
* Ability to lead a staff team and create a child-centred therapeutic home.
FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
POST TITLE: Registered Manager
RESPONSIBLE TO: Directors of Operations / Responsible Individual
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
* Management of services, including staff management and supervision, care and placement planning, safeguarding, and quality monitoring.
* Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
* Develop constructive working relationships within the community.
* Lead and manage the home inspiring both children and staff.
* Produce monitoring reports and ensure principles of equality and diversity are embedded in the culture of the home.
Specific Duties
* Ensure service meets the needs of service users.
* Manage safeguarding children and young people.
* Ensure children have access to services meeting their health, education, and emotional needs.
* Monitor outcomes and progress for children and young people.
* Responsible for staff supervision and development.
* Manage budget and resources effectively.
Person Specification
* Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services or equivalent.
* Experience: 3 years’ experience working with children, including at least 1 year at senior level.
* Knowledge: Understanding of relevant regulations and children’s rights.
* Skills: Ability to lead and inspire a staff team and manage stressful situations.
