Commercial Analyst job (2-year fixed term contract) with a well-known Glasgow-based organisation. Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, you will be responsible for: Financial Analysis & Reporting: Develop and maintain complex financial models to forecast benefits including cost avoidance, efficiency gain, ROI and user experience Partner with the Planning and Analysis function to understand historical data and identify key trends, variances and opportunities for improvement Prepare and present detailed financial reports and dashboards to Senior Management, providing actionable insights and recommendations Commercial Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with project teams to develop and refine strategies as part of wider deployment plans Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s overall objectives Conduct scenario analysis to evaluate the impact of potential business decisions, including horizon scanning Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand projects from concept to completion and create the relevant business case and performance metrics at each stage Deploy good interpersonal skills including negotiating, motivating, influencing, and building credible relationships with stakeholders Partner with Transformation Teams to ensure benefits are achieved as part of the change adoption process, as well as a close partnership with the PMO function throughout a project lifecycle The Individual: Comfortable to manage and analyse large datasets such as experience with BI tools, extracting and manipulating data Experience working in a similar position within a large, complex organisation Experience working with and influencing at various levels across organisations including senior management Advanced Excel skills On Offer: Salary up to £60,000 p.a. 21% pension Generous holiday allowance Hybrid, flexible working (2 days in office) For more information on this opportunity, please contact Christina McLean at Rutherford Cross.
