My client who is based in Camberley is looking for an Imports and Supply Chain Officer to join their team. We are looking for candidates who have experience in forecasting, supply chain, stock control, and raising purchase orders. The hours of work are 7am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. You will be hard working, have a keen eye for detail.
Daily Duties
1. Help build and implement a robust, efficient flow of products through the Company's purchase ordering and forecasting system.
2. Co-ordinate with the purchasing ordering team to better manage stock levels in order to flatten out peaks and troughs in stock availability.
3. Control end-to-end purchase order processing, communications, and facilitate order shipments.
4. Work alongside our inventory management system to ensure optimum stock levels.
5. Conduct inventory analysis and classification.
6. Engage in supply chain risk management.
7. Analyse and recommend purchase orders.
8. Perform historical sales performance analysis and reporting.
9. Forecast demand based upon seasonality, sales projections, promotions, etc.
10. Communicate with overseas suppliers.
11. Manage end-to-end purchase order processing, including:
1. Communicating price changes, promotions, delays, and other correspondence throughout the Company.
2. Placing purchase orders and receiving stock in on Sage 200.
3. Account and database management.
4. Clerical and documentation management.
5. Negotiating and organising multi-modal freight shipments.
Essential
1. Deep knowledge and understanding of inventory analytics.
2. Previous experience in inventory management.
3. Superb attention to detail, demonstrated by the ability to highlight areas of stock management enhancements and bring significant efficiencies to stock availability and the reduction of stock wastage.
