Role Overview: As a Geography Teacher, you will inspire and engage students through innovative and interactive lessons, helping them understand the world around them and develop critical thinking skills. You will have the opportunity to teach Geography across Key Stages 3,4 and 5, delivering a curriculum that emphasizes both physical and human geography. Key Responsibilities: * Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Geography lessons for students across various age groups and abilities. * Develop and implement schemes of work, ensuring all lessons are in line with the national curriculum. * Support students’ academic and personal development through effective differentiation and pastoral care. * Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the teaching and learning experience. * Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment. * Encourage student participation, curiosity, and independent learning. * Participate in school events, trips, and extracurricular activities to enrich the students’ learning experience. * Monitor student progress, providing feedback to students and parents as required. Person Specification: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential. * A degree in Geography or a closely related field. * Strong subject knowledge and passion for Geography. * Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students. * A creative, adaptable approach to teaching and learning. * Experience teaching Geography at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 is desirable (Key Stage 5 teaching experience is a plus). * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Commitment to the personal and academic development of all students
