Job Title: Assistant Product Manager
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum
Hours per week: 35 hours

You’ll be required to work from our head office in Wigston, Leicester a minimum of 2 days per week. The remainder of your working hours will be undertaken from home.

About the role
We are looking for a forward-thinking and proactive Assistant Product Manager to join a busy team in our fast-paced, evolving organisation where you will be involved in new and exciting projects.
In this exciting role, you will support the development and implementation of allocated product category and distribution channel plans, ensuring that they meet the needs of target customer segments and deliver agreed strategic, financial and non-financial performance indicators. The role is integral in supporting the development and managing the delivery of product category and distribution channel performance strategies. You will undertake market research to understand needs and manage category product planning, development and marketing activities, as well as coordinating alignment across all channels with various stakeholders, and managing the marketing mix of product lifecycle, pricing and distribution for designated product categories and distribution channels.
What you'll bring
To succeed in this role, you’ll be able to demonstrate an understanding of product development processes including undertaking reviews of product portfolios, and the ability to effectively design and implement product growth plans. You will be a self-starter with the ability to work using your own initiative, with an analytical and thorough approach to work with excellent attention to detail. You will have knowledge of the market and how to undertake effective market research. You will possess the knowledge and experience to support in the delivery of projects on time, within budget and within scope by identifying and meeting key milestones. You’ll be able to build and sustain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and possess the ability to work on your own initiative and manage your time effectively.

* Analytical, thorough and well-organised with great attention to detail.
* Ability to work constructively with stakeholders through building relationships, presenting, influencing and negotiating.
* A self-starter with the ability to work using own initiative.
* Experience of product development and product growth.
