Role Overview
This position requires delivering a timely and professional sales estimating service to customers in accordance with company procedures, with a focus on building long-term relationships and differentiating Airedale Springs from competitors.
Key Duties
* Managing the enquiry process in line with company procedures, identifying potential opportunities, and working with the Sales Office Lead to develop appropriate account strategies.
* Liaising with production and technical teams regarding customer design queries, technical specifications, and production capabilities.
* Coordinating with suppliers and sub-contractors to source relevant materials and services that meet customer specification requirements.
* Producing accurate, professional, and timely customer quotations.
* Maintaining communication with customers regarding the status of their enquiries and obtaining feedback following quotation.
* Managing live opportunities by maintaining regular contact with customers to facilitate conversion to orders.
Key Competencies
* A strong understanding of engineering, including the ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
* Proficiency in IT systems, including design software.
* Effective and confident communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with both external customers and suppliers, as well as internally within the Airedale Springs team.
* An organised and methodical approach to work, with the ability to plan, meet deadlines, and monitor performance against objectives.
* Self-motivated and proactive, demonstrating a high level of initiative, responsibility, and problem-solving skills.
