Laindon Medical Group has a great opportunity for an experienced medical administrator/secretary to join our team on a full or part-time basis, h ours and days can be discussed on application. This busy role will a ssist us with all the medical administration within the practice which includes secretarial duties and occasional coding of patient records, enabling us to signpost patients for the best possible care and opportunities. The main responsibilities of the role include: Providing a full administration and secretarial support to the team including efficient audio-typing, copy-typing and word processing, for all GPs and health professionals, as required. Typing of letters, reports, patient referrals, meeting minutes, memorandums, etc., in an accurate and quality manner. Handling patient and practice queries, regarding hospital appointments and treatments, confidentially. Coding/summarising of patient information. Ensuring all medical records are filed and processed correctly. Applicants should have the following skills and experience: An experienced administrator/secretary, with excellent IT, time management and organisational skills. Previous experience working within a practice/surgery. Ability to communicate effectively, working in a confidential and discreet manner. Ability to multi-task, work efficiently and maintain a high level of attention to detail, when under pressure. Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, as well as independently.
