Account Director Based in Hertford, this is an office-based role which involves international travel, candidates must hold a UK driving licence. Basic salary £70,000 to £80,000 depending on experience plus car allowance, bonus, and benefits My client is seeking an extremely ambitious and motivated Senior Account Director to join their rapidly growing software company that develops Enterprise Software and SaaS solutions designed to transform the way retailers operate. This is a new role and requires a highly experienced individual with extensive IT Account Management skills to play a key part of continuing to give excellent service to engage existing customers in exciting new projects whilst expanding into new territories and regions. As an Account Director, you will manage multiple multi-million-pound corporate customer accounts across the UK and overseas to drive growth and customer satisfaction, whilst building relationships with key customers. Your role will initially involve working with the Head of Sales and the CEO to formulate detailed account plans for each of our tier one customers and will be focus on several key areas, from assisting customers to get better value from their software, new releases and working with customers to formulate projects and initiatives that take them forward with new features and products. You will understand and respond to customer challenges, collaborating with them to form strategies, whilst working alongside the support and delivery teams to formulate strategies to help deliver consistent quality and resolve issues quick. Candidate Skills • Experience in B2B software industry for retail software, eCommerce, or Digital Tech sales products • Proven organisational and presentation skills and the ability to understand complex technical environments is key • Demonstrate considerable experience in software sales and winning business and bid management with an ardent desire to drive your sales career forward • An entrepreneurial spirit and a desire and hunger to close deals by using a thoughtful, consultative approach • Highly presentable, professional with the confidence and skill to deal with decision makers • Excellent computer skills and meticulous diligence are essential with a well organised with a disciplined approach to work • Confident with an outgoing personality with excellent verbal and written communication • Experience in managing customer accounts in a similar or related business • A strong collaborative worker who inspires a “can-do” attitude • Builds respected relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues • Ability to converse about latest industry trends and technology developments • Strong understanding of sales strategies and techniques and identify and capitalise on growth opportunities • Proficiency in using CRM (software) and MS Office Suite • Highly motivated, adaptable, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team. Duties • Formulate and maintain account plans for our key customers • Identify specific customer growth and new business opportunities and trends and inform future decision-making • Leverage key industry partnerships to inform and lead customer thinking • Work with support and delivery teams to improve customer processes • Keep customers informed about new products and services • Identify generic opportunities for upselling and cross-selling • Hold regular customer update seminars to inform customers about product updates, best practices, and industry trends • Work with the marketing team to provide the voice of the customer and build testimonials and case studies • Conduct regular executive meetings with customers to assess their needs • Monitor customer satisfaction levels and respond • Attend monthly support reviews and key project meetings • Compile monthly customer reports present to CEO and Head of Sales • Ensure the CRM is up-to-date daily
