Job Title: Catering Manager Location: Leeds Contract: Full time, permanent Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a Secondary School in the Leeds area who are currently seeking a Catering Manager to join ASAP. The role would be during term time, starting hours from 07:00 - 14:30 or 07:30 - 15:00, 40 weeks per year. Purpose of job: To undertake the planning, purchasing, preparation, serving of the daily meal and the management of clearing of the school dining hall. To ensure all due diligence checks are adhered to in line with the school policy & procedures. Skills & Experience: Essential: Previous experience of running a school kitchen and catering service. A catering qualification. Excellent customer service Previous experience of planning menus on a similar scale. Experience of meeting the needs of a wide range of dietary requirements whilst still producing nutritionally balanced meals. A clear understanding of the legal regulations involved in storing, cooking and serving food. A clear understanding of the legal regulations relating to recording good hygiene procedures within the kitchen. A willingness to provide food off-site for students and teachers. DBS clearance to work with children.
