About the Role
We’re seeking a dynamic Area Business Manager to join our high-performing sales team and drive growth in the Acute and Primary Care space. This is an exciting field-based role offering the opportunity to make a real impact on patient outcomes and NHS partnerships.
We welcome candidates from either a wound care or theatre background. Experience selling into theatres is highly advantageous, along with a solid understanding of NHS landscape and procurement. A clinical background or proven commercial success in medical device sales will set you up for success.
You’ll be responsible for building strong relationships with key stakeholders — particularly Procurement and Category Leads, Tissue Viability Nurses and Theatre teams — and navigating complex care pathways to ensure product adoption and ongoing success.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Promote and sell GBUK’s innovative medical products in alignment with strategic goals
✅ Identify and pursue new business opportunities across NHS departments and Private hospitals.
✅ Build and maintain strong relationships with key clinical and procurement stakeholders
✅ Deliver expert product training and support to healthcare professionals
✅ Monitor market activity, gather intelligence, and contribute to ongoing strategy
✅ Achieve or exceed sales targets while enhancing GBUK Group’s brand reputation
Sales & Account Management
* Identify new opportunities and develop strategic account plans
* Execute the full sales cycle, from product introduction and evaluation to closing deals and implementing new products
* Conduct regular meetings and follow-ups with stakeholders to build pipeline
* Maintain up-to-date customer and prospect records in CRM systems
* Provide excellent post-sale support and customer service
* Attend industry events, congresses, and internal meetings as needed
* Demonstrate high performing behaviours both internally and externally
Administration & Reporting
* Provide accurate forecasts, reports, and market insights
* Complete administrative duties diligently and on time
* Attend regional and national team meetings as required
What We’re Looking For
Essential
* Minimum 5 years’ commercial sales experience
* Proven knowledge of the NHS marketplace and procurement landscape
* Strong relationship-building and communication skills
* Quick learner with adaptability and resilience
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
* Fluent in English
Desirable
* Experience selling into theatres or working within wound care sector
* Prior engagement with NHS procurement and formulary submissions
* Experience working with Tissue Viability Nurses
* Degree in Life Sciences, Business, Engineering, or related field
* Strong Excel skills and familiarity with medical device products
