We are seeking a Legal Assistant to join our Financial Services Litigation department based out of our offices in Chandler’s Ford. You’ll work between our Litigation and conveyancing teams, to undertake a first-class service for the firm’s lender clients. Day to day The focus of this role is to provide support to the team’s fee-earners on various day to day tasks, with the prospect to progress your skills and potential to get more involved. This role would be well suited to a proactive and confident individual with strong administration skills and high attention to detail. You will be working within a fun and collaborative team who value each other’s support and input. Our Legal Assistants play a crucial role in our team, handling both chargeable and non-chargeable work while managing their own responsibilities and supporting other fee earners with more complex matters. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in both litigation and transactional work, including: Scanning and organising paperwork. Managing billing processes. Opening and closing legal files. Handling incoming and outgoing post and correspondence. Assisting with mortgage repossession cases, including issuing claims, preparing witness statements and hearing bundles, and liaising with the courts. Assisting with property transactions, including assisting with contract packs, exchange, and completion paperwork and liaising with the clients and the Land Registry. Adhering to client service agreements and preparing management information. Providing efficient and clear communication to clients and colleagues, keeping them informed. Assisting and supporting team members with tasks as needed. About you First and foremost, we are a welcoming team who look for the same.
