KCM are recruiting for a business development Director for a Design and Build Construction company who specialized in Data Center construction in the Nordic and Mainland Europe regions. They deliver bespoke DC’s in stages from the design process to enabling/civil works through structural build, M&E installation, and commissioning to final client handover
They work closely with a group of partners throughout their entire supply chain including the design process thus giving them more control over the entire delivery process.
The Business Development Director will leverage their established network and deep industry relationships to drive strategic growth initiatives and expand our data center portfolio across mainland Europe.
Requirements
Established relationships with key decision-makers in major hyperscale companies operating in Europe
Active network of enterprise clients with significant data center requirements
Strong connections with data center operators and colocation providers across major EU markets
Responsibilities
Leverage existing relationships to identify and secure new business opportunities across the EU data center market
Utilize industry network to identify early-stage opportunities and potential market movements
Build and maintain strategic relationships with executives and senior decision-makers
Lead complex deal negotiations, drawing on established industry relationships
Represent the company at industry events and maintain high visibility in the data center community
Provide market intelligence and competitive insights based on industry network
Mentor team members in relationship building and network development
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of experience in the data center industry
Demonstrable track record of leveraging industry relationships to close large-scale deals (20MW+)
Proven history of successful transactions with major hyperscale and enterprise clients
Deep understanding of the EU data center market ecosystem and key stakeholders
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
Fluency in English.
Active participation in industry associations and thought leadership platforms
