Imagine a role where your value lies in your inquiring spirit and unique perspective. Our teams thrive on a range of backgrounds and interests, united by your curiosity about the world and a desire to learn. Whether you’re a philosopher or mathematician, a politics graduate, or a career changer, you can find a career with us.
Your role as an Investment Research Analyst will primarily be research-based, analysing company investment opportunities to help clients achieve their desired financial objectives. Working alongside people who have generated world-class investment returns, you’ll have support through structured learning, professional qualifications, and dedicated mentors. As your skills develop, we’ll encourage you to pursue your ideas and creative thinking. We want you to question what’s in front of you and develop an independent viewpoint.
The programme
During the programme, you’ll rotate through year-long placements in autonomous investment teams. Each team has its own distinct approach and investment philosophy, but all have the same purpose – to drive positive returns for our clients. Whether those are councils, pension funds or governments, we’re dedicated to helping them meet their income and savings goals.
From the moment you join us, the Investment Research programme offers a distinct career path and a permanent, long-term role. Our training will equip you with the tools, techniques, and mental models you will then use to identify company investment opportunities for our clients. Alongside your training, you will be fully supported by dedicated investment mentors and buddies.
Your role often involves travelling within the UK or internationally to visit companies, speak to global experts or attend conferences. You’ll also receive full financial support and training to help you work towards professional qualifications, in particular the IMC (Investment Management Certificate) and the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Level 1.
