Job Description
Kanadevia Inova are recruiting a Plant Attendant for our Earls Gate plant in Grangemouth, Falkirk.
You will be coordinating waste fuel deliveries, fuel handling, incoming consumables, the removal of process by-products, carrying out plant routine inspections, and routine plant tasks including:
1. Loading and unloading of vehicles, the use of the Front-Loading Shovel (FLS) and Fork Lift Truck (FLT) as required.
2. Monitoring all areas of the plant during inspections, operating the overhead crane for the systematic removal of waste, and accessing all areas of the plant (from height to ground levels) to check instruments, gauges, and take readings and actions as required. Working at height and in confined spaces.
3. Effectively reacting to planned and unplanned (i.e., emergency) repairs, blockages, and changes in the plant central systems.
4. Promptly reacting to system alarms/protocols to secure areas of the plant if/as required, with active involvement in fire drills and evacuation exercises.
5. Ensuring plant cleaning schedules are fulfilled to a satisfactory standard.

Qualifications
1. Understanding/experience of operating and monitoring boiler and steam turbine plants.
2. Experience/qualifications in the use of Fork Lift Truck (FLT).
3. Must be able to work at various height levels via access through stairs and ladders and be physically able to engage in varying amounts of manual handling/lifting.
4. Experience of Front-Loading Shovel (FLS) vehicle also advantageous.
5. Desirable: City & Guilds in Small Thermal Plant for Heat & Power production, or equivalent, current first aid qualification, experience/qualification in operating overhead cranes.
