We are looking for a Supply chain coordinator for a 12 contract based in Derby on a hybrid basis, 3 days on site 2 from home, on behalf of Rolls-Royce who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planets vital power needs. About the Role: The Supply chain coordinator will play a vital role in assisting the smooth operation of our supply chain, working closely with suppliers and customers to facilitate the provision of electronic ground support units used in aircraft engine testing. Supply Chain Coordinator Key Responsibilities: Inbox & Inquiry Management: Handle supplier and customer inquiries, escalating technical issues to the appropriate team. Supplier Management: Closely monitor supplier performance, ensuring they adhere to processes and treat us as a valued customer. Issue Resolution: Be prepared to deliver difficult news to customers, such as delays in delivery, while maintaining strong relationships. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve existing labour-intensive processes and implement efficient new ways of working. Data Management: Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets for tracking purposes. Meeting Attendance: Participate in weekly supplier meetings to discuss progress, issues, and action plans. Customer Updates: Provide timely updates to both internal and external customers. Supplier & Customer Interaction: managing relationships and ensuring smooth communication. Key skills: Proficient in ERP system such as SAP with experience in supply chain operation Strong understanding of demand forecasting and inventory management to optimise supply chain efficiency. Skilled in sourcing strategies, supplier qualification and contracts Hands-on experience with supplier relationship management tools such as Coupa and SAP SRM Basic knowledge on logistic operation, transportation management and trade compliances Proficient in data analytical tools including excel (if possible, macros), Power Bi and SQL for supply chain insights. Familiar with supply chain tracking Experience in process improvement and change management.
