A site-specific, all-female/non-binary version of Shakespeare's Henry V performed at the Temple Church, Redcliffe from 19th June - 2nd Aug 2025. The production is supported with Arts Council England funding and partnering with English Heritage and Redcliffe & Temple BID.
Roles and responsibilities of the Production Manager
* To take the lead in the sourcing, co-ordinating & installation on-site of all the necessary infrastructure for Insane Root's production of Henry V in Temple Church, Bristol;
* To collaborate with the Producer to source quotes & liaise with various suppliers for the show, including key infrastructure inc. set & audience seating;
* To be available exclusively to the production as needed, including production meetings, parts of the final rehearsals & production weeks & the get out;
* To schedule & lead regular production meetings throughout the pre-production, rehearsal & technical period;
* To monitor production spending with Producer to ensure that departments remain within budget;
* To collaborate/lead on writing risk assessments suitable to the nature & scale of the production;
* To attend a run-through during rehearsals or tech - time to be confirmed in liaison with the Director;
* To create a production schedule for production week.
Fee: Total fee for this role is £2600 (calculated at a weekly fee of £650 for four weeks)
Important dates: (please note the Production Manager will not be present for the entirety of these dates and this can be discussed with the Executive Producer)
* Production Meetings x2 in April & May
* Rehearsals in Bristol 28th May - 13th June
* Production Week w/c 16th June
* Previews 19th & 20th June
* Opening night 21st June
* Get out 4th - 5th August

Job Requirements
Who we are looking for:
* Proven experience in production management or a similar role within the theatre or performing arts industry.
* Experience working in site-specific, outdoor productions or similar events.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
* A passion for theatre and a deep understanding of production processes and best practices.
* Ideally local to the Bristol area or with a base in or nearby.
