Job summary This is an opportunity to work at band 7 level leading the Trauma Outpatient Occupational Therapy team within the OP Occupational Therapy Services for a 6 month fixed term (or secondment with line manager's permission) to cover a career break. The post holder will lead and manage a team of occupational Therapists to deliver high quality evidence based assessment and treatment skills to assess and treat patients following MSK Trauma (including Hands). You need to possess excellent communication skills and negotiation skills in order to deal with these patients, as well as the Occupational Therapy team. You will need to be able to understand the relevant conditions, as well as pain, and be able to explain this to other staff and your patients. Teaching others will be part of your role and training for you will be provided as required. Skills in splinting and bracing are essential for the post holder. NUH supports 7 day working and you will be required to work flexibly across 7 days and across campus as required to meet the needs of therapy services.
