About the role
The SVP of HR is responsible for developing and leading the strategic planning and execution of HR initiatives in support of the business needs and company’s mission and vision statement. This role will provide senior leadership guidance on all HR activities and improve the day-to-day HR operation.
This role will serve as a member of key committees, including Governance committee, Legal/HR, Speak Up matters, Executive Leadership and Senior Leadership teams for US Investments.
What you'll be doing
* Collaborates with senior leadership to develop and execute a comprehensive strategic HR plan to support business operations and initiatives.
* Analyze data, metrics, and key performance indicators to identify trends, outliers, and areas for improvement in headcount, turnover, employee engagement, and incentive programs.
* Collaborates, coaches, and provides guidance to key stakeholders on HR procedures related to workplace challenges and change management to improve compliance, reduce risk and drive consistency across the business.
* Roll out of the annual engagement survey and develop a strategy based on results.
* Partner with leadership to identify high-potential employees and develop succession planning.
* Design and implement leadership development training to increase management teams' skillset.
* Advise leadership on key employee relations issues, review/draft performance improvement plans, and execute terminations as necessary.
* Develop and manage performance appraisal process to evaluate employee performance.
* Lead and develop HR business partner team supporting efforts related to employee relations, assessment of disciplinary actions, and overview of policies and procedures.
* Collaborate with Legal and Ethics and Compliance team on investigations, risk assessment, and providing leadership with decision-making advice.
* Address employee concerns and grievances to maintain a positive and 'We Care' culture.
* Review investigations and make recommendations on matters.
* Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and ensure compliance with labor laws.
* Ensure HR policies comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
* Partner with US Shared Service on areas such as benefits, compensation, leadership and HRIS.
* Participate in meetings with monitor as needed.
* Successfully implement and deliver HR actions related to the 3-year monitorship on a timely and thorough basis.
* Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
* Lead TA team in supporting efforts related to hiring practices, diversity and inclusion, KPIs, and design of AAP plans.
* Provide Director of TA with guidance on developing and implementing strategy for attracting, hiring, and onboarding qualified prospects.
* Ensure all government reporting requirements are completed in a timely fashion.
Typical Physical Demands: Sit and stand to do clerical work. Regularly lift and move equipment and supplies up to 50 lbs.
Who we're looking for
* Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, Organization Development, Labor relations.
* Minimum of 15 years of Human Resources Management.
* Experience in multi-state, multi-location portfolio with responsibilities for exempt, non-exempt and hourly demographics.
* Exceptional organizational and customer service skills.
* Knowledge in all areas of HR including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and ethics & compliance.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Detail-oriented and ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Familiarity with federal and state employment laws and regulations.
* Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
* Ability to participate and lead cross-functional teams.
* Ability to succeed in a fast-paced and changing environment.
