We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a secondary school in Liphook, in an exclusive recruitment partnership with Teaching Personnel.
About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working closely with students, either one-to-one or in small groups, providing tailored support to help them succeed in their studies. You will support students both in the classroom, as part of the wider class, and in more focused interventions within our well-resourced Support for Learning department. You will play a key role in fostering an inclusive learning environment and helping students build their confidence and skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students with diverse learning needs, providing assistance in the classroom and in intervention sessions.
* Work closely with teaching staff to ensure students receive the necessary support.
* Provide tailored support, promoting student independence and confidence.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Assist with preparation and organization of learning materials and resources.
Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience in a learning support role (ideally in a secondary school setting).
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with students and staff.
* A patient, proactive, and empathetic approach to supporting students.
* Experience/qualifications in ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) would be highly desirable, with potential for a higher salary for those with this experience.
Working Hours:
* Monday to Friday, 8.40am – 3.30pm
* 32.5 hours per week
* Term time only
This role is a one-year, full-time, fixed-term contract with potential for further opportunities beyond the term.
