Detailed job description and main responsibilities
* To assist patients to maintain their personal hygiene, to include toileting and the safe handling and disposal of body fluid.
* To take and record blood pressure and pulse rate of patients undertaking interventional procedures within the range of their competencies.
* Ensure infection control methods are upheld within the clinical environment.
* To be able to assess patient condition on arrival and adapt care accordingly depending upon age, well-being and clinical need. Demonstrate empathy and reassurance.
* To be aware of the limitations of their role and seek specialist assistance as necessary.

* Basic Education
* Basic computer inputting skills
Experience
Essential criteria
* Ability to communicate verbally and by phone with the public.
* Worked in health service or public sector or customer care.
* Able to demonstrate dealing with situations in a caring and sensitive manner.
Desirable criteria
* Experience in movement and handling.
* NHS or Care environment.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
* Use of telephone and able to take simple messages and disseminate messages clearly to clinical staff.
* Understanding of the need for confidentiality awareness at all times.
* NVQ 3 or Equivalent formal qualification / Experience.
Desirable criteria
* Knowledge of Information Governance.
* Base Level understanding of radiology.
