To be suitable for the role you must have 4 years postgraduate experience, with at least 2 years' experience in Dermatology, including General Adult and Paediatric Dermatology and possess appropriate skills for Minor Surgery. A diploma in Dermatology is desirable.
We work closely with the Trust's Plastic Surgery Team, linking in to MDT with Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge.

Main duties of the job
The sessional commitments are 10 PAs (8.5 DCC and 1.5 SPA). Any changes in the job plan will be negotiated with the Clinical Lead for the benefit of Clinical Service Delivery and the Clinical Business Unit as a whole.
As part of a friendly and supportive team, you will be joining 5 Consultants, 2 Specialty Doctors, 2 Dermatology Nurse Specialists, 2 Skin Cancer Nurse Specialists and 2 GpwERs supported by a dedicated team of Medical Secretaries and Administration staff. Together, we deliver a comprehensive Dermatology service, including inpatient and outpatient care, referrals and treatment.
You will cover for urgent inpatient referrals and GP queries in working hours; however, there is no formal out of hours cover required on a regular basis.
Clinics are delivered in an allocated outpatient area incorporating UVB, patch testing and surgical facilities supported by a team of General Outpatient Nursing Staff. In-patients are admitted under a shared care arrangement with the medical teams.
You will provide support, training and governance to nurses and any junior medical staff in the team. Support for local GPwER, GPs in training and students from regional hospitals is also anticipated.
Active participation in clinical audit, continuing professional development and research is a must and will be expected to contribute to the Trust and CBU Clinical Governance processes including the dedicated monthly half days.
