SUITABLE CANDIDATE
You enjoy analising concrete problems, finding solutions and then setting them up.
Getting involved in significant industrial and engineering projects involving very demanding precautions as regards industrial safety captivates you.
Your good analytical skills, sense of logic, aptitude for synthesizing and your scientific knowledge will allow you to adapt quickly to multi-system environments.
You have the ability to adapt to new technical problems. You know how to manage a small-sized team.
You like the idea of working on Projects and Quality matters to you.
You are a good team player.
THE ROLE
As Site Configuration Coordination Engineer, you will be part of the team in charge of the different replication and configuration processes across the project for the Client and the Nuclear Services Agreement Consortium.
The goal of the replication is to maximise the reuse of the previous project’s design with a strong justification that it meets the current project’s conditions whilst controlling the replication baseline which may evolve. The goal of configuration management is to ensure proper control of the project baseline, from requirement to the design and finally to the physical product. The configuration items are inherited and modified to comply with the project’s site specific conditions or changes within the supply chain.
As Site Configuration Coordination Engineer, you will be in charge of the following activities:
* Produce a “control site configuration” procedure.
* Produce and/or update Site related Configuration procedures applicable to the project, at a project wide level, or at the Nuclear Service Agreement (NSA) Consortium level These procedures should reflect the specific arrangements made for the project compared to the previous project, including the Civil Work Alliance.
* Support the NSA Configuration Manager to set-up the site configuration management team.
Some other of the following activities related to the configuration and replication procedures could become part of the role depending on workload balance:
* Creation and update of training material and delivery of training sessions.
* Establishment, production, and assessment of KPIs and metrics.
* Production of status accounting reports.
* Production of process self-assessments (to review whether the process is being followed and if it is efficient).
To perform these activities, you will be in interface with:
* Plant Integration Configuration and Replication managers.
* Project’s Technical Directorate.
* Engineering Integration Configuration and Replication manager.
* Client design entities.
During the first months, you can count on the KURY Team to assist you all along your projects. This experience will give you the opportunity to move on to other projects in the medium term: you will tackle varied but complementary projects, studies and technical topics. Your understanding of the technical and environmental challenges will allow you to take on complex and critical transversal studies.
REQUIRED SKILLS
* Experience in Technical Integration and/or Configuration Management.
* Good stakeholder management skills.
* Organisational skills, ability to meet commitments and deadlines.
* Leadership, pro-activeness.
* Communication & interpersonal skills, ability to be in interface with different stakeholders.
DESIRABLE SKILLS
* Relevant experience in the nuclear industry with good understanding of UK EPR technology.
* Knowledge and understanding of EPR engineering design sequences and interfaces.
* Experience in configuration management and/or site construction activities.
* French-speaking would be an advantage.
