Who can foster?
Almost anyone can foster. If you are 25 or over, are a permanent resident in the UK and have a spare room, the chances are you can be a foster carer.
Action for Children foster parents come from all walks of life - caring people who can give a child in need their time, attention, affection and a safe, nurturing place to call home.
Why choose Action for Children?
We recognise that being a foster parent is a huge commitment. It’s a vocation and a job beyond the 9-5, and it’s life changing. We value our foster parents and look after them so that they can look after the children who need them.
As an Action for Children foster parent, we will support you with;

* Small case loads - our foster family to Supervising Social worker ratio is 6:1
* 28 days earned leave
* Quality training all year round
You might not have all the experience needed, but we’ll equip you with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to provide a loving and safe home for a child in need.
