Accounts Assistant Permanent (20-25 hours per week) - Wigan - Upto £14.42 per hour (DOE) Our client, who has been established for over 35 years and are the largest independent North-west specialist in their field are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join their team of 5 in their Finance department. This is an all-encompassing accounts role which involves supporting with Purchase Ledger, Credit Control and Payroll and would suit a real all -rounder. Duties: Inputting purchase invoices onto Excel and importing onto a bespoke finance system Processing 50 to 100 suppliers invoices per week Reconciling supplier statements and requesting credits where necessary Chasing outstanding debt from customers and taking payments Completing daily bank reconciliations and allocating payments against correct customer accounts on the ledger Receiving weekly timesheets and processing full end to end payroll for 15 staff Calculating all deductions, updating payroll journals and dealing with Attachment of Earning Orders RTI reporting to HMRC and pension auto- enrolments Handling payroll queries and processing new starters/leavers Credit checking new customers online as required Working hours: 20-25 hours (worked between the hours of 8:30am 5:00pm) Monday to Friday (Must work a Wednesday to process payroll) The ideal candidate will have Accounts experience, accurate data inputting skills and can work well within a small, friendly team.
