GSL Education are seeking individuals who are looking to build their experience of working with children and in schools. We are looking for passionate individuals who are wanting to build a career in working with children. We can offer full or part time and flexible days to offer work around you. As a Learning Support Assistant/Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of different schools and with children of different ages and abilities. You do not need any qualifications! We will provide you a Level 2 Teaching Assistant course, FREE for individuals with the right experience but you must have the drive and passion to make a difference to the lives of children. You will mostly be working alongside the class teacher to provide support to the children and in some cases on a 1:1 basis. The needs of the children can vary, and in some cases the children may have learning difficulties.

The role of a Teaching Assistant can be a challenging one so patience, a friendly approach and a good sense of humour are required. If you have dreamed about working with children, or stepping into education I would love to get you your first steps onto your journey!
The main duties as a Teaching Assistant will include:
* Supporting the pupils in their education
* Supporting and managing behaviour in line with school policies
* Working with the class teacher to implement academic or social interventions
* Supporting and delivering creative and innovative lessons
* Using formative and summative assessment
* Supporting with or assessing phonics following the school’s chosen program
* Promoting independence with life skills
* Providing an outstanding level of safeguarding and pastoral care
The ideal candidate will:
* Have prior experience working with children or vulnerable adults
* Be proactive, energetic, kind and caring
* An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process with us)
* A fully checkable work history
* Must have a driving license or be willing to use public transport to traverse Hull's delightful transport systems
* Candidate must be in good mental and physical health and also must be a resilient and reliable individual
* Must be able to work with vulnerable and challenging pupils in a school environment.
