Divisional Lead for NMAHP Research and Innovation

Job Overview
We are looking for three Divisional Leads for Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals (NMAHP) Research and Innovation to support the development of NMAHP research and to further develop the established partnership between Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUHFT) and Oxford Brookes University.
These new posts will collaborate with key stakeholders within the OUH/OBU partnership to:
* Align Corporate and Divisional research and innovation activity for the NMAHP and the research workforce.
* Encourage and facilitate NMAHP research knowledge, skills, and potential across the partnership.
* Ensure that research and innovation activity can show clear benefits to patients, carers, and our workforce.
The jointly funded posts will be based within the Trust with strong links to undergraduate and postgraduate education and research within Oxford Brookes University. They will have an honorary contract with the University as a Visiting Fellow, Reader, or Professor, depending on their research portfolio and experience.
Main Duties of the Job
* Align research and innovation with the Division, Trust's, and OxInAHR strategic goals.
* Participate actively in the Trust's strategic forums to share best practices and align standards with Trust policy, procedures, and initiatives.
* Conduct a Divisional analysis of highly complex data to inform the research and innovation developments needed based on priorities and risks.
* Work with Divisional clinical and research leads and Director of NMAHP Research and Innovation to set up mechanisms to record, monitor, and measure the outcomes of research and innovation activities.
* Support the development, progress, and sustainability of clinical quality improvement initiatives within the Division.
* Support increased visibility of clinical practice development activities through the initiation, promotion, and support of research activities.
* Support the integration of clinical research delivery teams within the clinical areas of the Division.
* Maintain own research activity and portfolio through grant applications, conducting and supporting research as a CI/PI, and research dissemination.
* Supervise students in Doctoral studies and MSc dissertation supervision as required.
Minimum Requirements
* Registered Nurse, Midwife, AHP Pharmacist, or Health Care Scientist with current and valid registration.
* PhD/DPhil/Professional Doctorate in relevant health care research.
* Strategic management, leadership knowledge, and experience at a senior level.
* Clinical research experience.
* Knowledge of NHS structure, new and emerging research structures.
* Experience of research leadership in an HEI or clinical setting.
* Experience in developing and increasing research and evidence-based practice awareness.
* Experience of teaching, mentoring, and/or supervising at a post-graduate/post-registration level in related areas.
* Significant experience of leading, managing, and motivating teams.
* A publication track record and experience of presenting at local, national, and international conferences.
* Management/Leadership qualification/course.
* Recognised teaching qualification.
* Current ICH Good Clinical Practice and QI methodology training.
* Track record of developing research proposals and attracting research funds.
* Established national and international reputation in subject area.
* An in-depth understanding of the application of research within the Clinical and Research Governance agenda.
